Loukoumades (Greece)

Loukoumades are traditionally served at festivals and carnivals. Eaten while still warm, they are made by deep-frying sweet dough balls and then drizzling with honey syrup. The loukoumades are then sprinkled with sugar, cinnamon, walnuts or sesame seeds.
