The most successful horticultural event in the Southern Hemisphere is in its 18th year and is open five days, from 20th March to Sunday, 24th March. Be inspired by over 200 displays showcasing the best of landscape design and creative floral exhibits.

The MIFGS event manager, Ben Muldoon, says there is something for everyone at the show: “Providing a fun and affordable day out that offers world-class displays of creativity and innovation, it’s a stellar event located at one of Melbourne’s most incredible venues.”

A great value day out for the whole family, there will be plenty for young and old to enjoy. Kids will love the Disney Children’s Fairies Garden, with face painting, an animal petting zoo, pot-a-plant sessions and art areas. They will have a ball testing out the stunning entries to the Cubby House Challenge. At the end of the show, these mini mansions will be auctioned off with all proceeds going toward the fantastic work of charity Kids Under Cover.

Check out the ‘Live Life’ centre and garden, designed by our very own Jason Hodges. Here, guest speakers Dr. Andrew Rochford, Karen Inge and Jenny Craig consultants will be on hand to give you expert lifestyle and wellbeing tips.

Guests can sit back and relax at the cellar door of the Lindeman’s Open Garden. Here you can enjoy live cooking demonstrations with celebrity chef, Dominique Rizzo, and gardening expert, Meredith Kirton, or create your own hanging basket to take home.

Industry experts will be at the show to give advice on all things gardening and flowers. Learn how to make beautiful bouquets in the ever popular floral arrangement classes and purchase fresh blooms directly from the growers. Wander through the award-winning landscaping and floristry displays, as well as amazing ‘living’ fashion created by RMIT fashion design students. Take inspiration from display gardens with the latest and greatest in landscape design.

The Melbourne International Flower Show is sure to bring out the inner horticulturalist in us all and is an event not to be missed.
