Everyone's favourite part of a pie is the buttery topping, usually made with white flour, sugar and butter. This recipe keeps the butter but replaces the sugar with fibre-rich rolled oats and uses wholemeal flour. We've used pears, but you can put the topping on cinnamon-spiced apples, strawberries, peaches or berries.
