High-end art is no longer the sole domain of champagne-supping types with bottomless cheque accounts. In fact, now you can wear art on your bottom, thanks to two clever brothers from Bondi who've been on a mission to design the perfect pair of jocks. And they've come pretty close; while the Stonemen cuts are brief, comfortable and cool, it's the designs - digitally printed onto ultra-soft Pima-cotton - that put these Aussie-made potato sacks ahead of the curve. They boast everything from wild horses to Blair Witch-type forest prints lifted from vintage paintings found in thrift stores. Stonemen boxers, thermals and socks are on the way, too.
The rules:
1. Do opt for briefs. They provide support and protect against chafing and rubbing.
2. Do buy all-cotton briefs. Synthetic fabrics don't allow airflow like natural cotton.
3. Don't go commando. Increasingly conservative times warrant a modicum of modesty, gents.
NEW TAKE ON A CLASSIC

Movie star Jack Nicholson says Fred Estaire got him into sunglasses. Nicholson famously favours the legendary Ray-Ban "Wayfarer". They were so successful they spawned Oakley's famed "Frogskin" glasses, the similarly shaped shades that launched that company back in 1985 (which are likely to be remembered by anyone who went near a skateboard, surfboard or BMX bike that decade). Popular as they were, each pair of "Frogskins" was made from the very same mould, allowing little evolution to a classic design: cue the updated Oakley "Jupiter" style, which pays homage to the original design but incorporates a modern twist. As for the new name, Jupiter is Oakley HQ's pet frog.
The rules:
1. Do choose sunnies that help hide a feature you feel isn't your best. For example, a brow-bar frame will draw attention away from a balding head.
2. Do select yellow lenses for playing golf. They offer the most contrast and depth perception properties.
3. Don't wear white sunglasses no matter how trendy they seem. Select instead from the massive variety of colour-combos available.
HUGHES A PRETTY BOY THEN?

Still on the Hollywood theme, we come to playboy, flyboy and golfer Howard Hughes, a man once revered as an American hero. He's also the inspiration behind the new Tommy Hilfiger golf collection - along with his playing partner in sport and life, iconic actress and fellow golfer, Katharine Hepburn.
Polo shirts, vests or sporty jackets, boasting argyles, checks and stripes in the good ol' red, white and blue, we can't guarantee that donning one of these will improve your game, but you'll look good as you hack and chop your way through 18. And they're versatile enough to wear beyond the 19th. Find the collection in leading golf shops.
The rules:
1. Do have it dry-cleaned at the start of each colder season. You'll notice the difference, and so will she.
2. Do lightly oil the zipper every once in a while for longevity and ease of use. Apply it with a cloth.
3. Don't presume the fit is all in the chest. A decent jacket is like a good lawyer. It should cover your arse.
