The look: A chic topknot
Why it's hot now: This lofty style is perfect for keeping your lengths under control at the beach, and it takes just seconds to achieve. "Every woman can create this style, and it's a quick and easy way of putting your hair up," says Brad Ngata, of Brad Ngata Hair Direction, Sydney.
How to do it: "Sea-dampened hair is perfect for this style as the salt will give your topknot grip – alternatively, try a sea salt spray to get the same effect," suggests Ngata. For a more groomed look, use a light gel to create a sleek finish before smoothing your hair into a ponytail high on your crown. Twist the lengths into a bun and pin.
What you'll need: Opt for hold with Garnier Fructis Style Surf Hair Texturising Spray, $8.85, or Bumble and bumble Bb. Gel, $50. Scünci Beautiful Blends Bobby Pins, $8.99 for 48 pieces, will keep your topknot in place.
