Marjoram Oil

DEFINITION

Botanical name - Origanum majorana.
This essential oil is extracted from the herb by steam distillation.

DESCRIPTION

In ancient Egypt Marjoram was sacred to the god Osiris, and many modern men find its peppery scent more acceptable than floral oils.
Marjoram is distilled from the flowering tips of the Mediterranean perennial herb Origanum majorana, whose name translated means 'joy of the mountain'. The penetrating woody, spicy-camphorous scent of Marjoram is warm and fortifying. This is a Middle Note.

APPLICATIONS

HERBAL CALMER - Powerfully relaxing in a THERAPEUTIC BATH or VAPOURISATION before bedtime, with a little extra sprinkled on the pillow, Marjoram brings sweet relief to restless sleepers.
