Clary Sage oil has the botanical name Salvia sclarea.
This essential oil is extracted from the whole herb by steam distillation.
DESCRIPTION
This oil is distilled from the flowering herb of Salvia sclarea, a European herb. It is a complex oil having a particular affinity with the female cycle. Clary Sage has a sweet, floral and nutty scent. It is classified as a Top to Middle Note.

INVITING - The euphoric scent of Clary Sage calms, soothes and eases the tension of uncertain times. It can be used as a VAPORISATION, in a THERAPEUTIC BATH or massage into the back, neck and temples with a MASSAGE OIL BLEND.
Clary Sage is thought to have relaxing properties
RELAXING - Clary Sage is thought to relieve the spasms of painful periods by warming and relaxing taut muscles and nerves. It can be used in a MASSAGE OIL BLEND to massage the abdomen and lower back. Use only as directed and seek medical advice if menstrual pain persists. Dilute for DIRECT APPLICATION and rub into the temples to give temporary relief to headache. A THERAPEUTIC BATH can smooth out and help relieve nervous tension or mild anxiety.
ASTRINGENT - Clary Sage is believed to be useful when treating premenstrual complexion blemishes. It may have a sebum balancing effect. It can be made in a SKIN or FACIAL OIL for this treatment. Clary sage is also known for its action on mature dry skin.
FEMALE CYCLE
Clary sage is believed to have a particular affinity with the female cycle. It is used for menstrual pain and irregularities.
DO NOT USE DURING PREGNANCY.
