DEFINITION
Botanical name - Anthemis nobilis.
This oil is made from 3% essential oil extracted from the flower by steam distillation in a Jojoba oil base.
DESCRIPTION
During Tudor times, poets penned burning verses while reclining on Chamomile perfumed turf. Botanists often refer to Chamomile as the 'plant's physician' as it seems to promote the health of its neighbouring herbaceous companions.
Chamomile is distilled from the floral juice of Anthemis nobilis. This oil is also known as Roman Chamomile, used for centuries in European health traditions to treat nervous conditions. It is a characteristic warm-sweet herbaceous Middle Note.
APPLICATIONS
CALMING and SETTLING - For temporary relief of migraine headache, the symptoms of insomnia and to help relieve stress and tension; make up a MASSAGE OIL BLEND and rub into the neck, shoulders and any other part of the body aching for relief. An exceptional child's remedy for frantic or fretful moments, teething and upset tummies; add a few drops to child's bath. To alleviate the discomfort of indigestion, massage the abdomen in a clockwise direction with a MASSAGE OIL BLEND. If symptoms persist, seek medical advice.
COMFORTING - Joint and muscular pains, especially in the abdominal or lumbar regions, may be temporarily relieved with the gentle hand of Chamomile; use in a MASSAGE OIL BLEND.
USE WITH CARE IF SUFFERING FROM LOW BLOOD PRESSURE.
THIS OIL IS NOT SUITABLE FOR USE IN AN OIL BURNER AS IT IS IN A JOJOBA OIL BASE.
