We're constantly amazed here at the Better Homes offices at the steady stream of new products flooding onto the market that make you wonder, did we really need one of those? While for some the answer is a resounding yes, for others the court is still in session. Today we thought we'd present a bit of a light-hearted look at some of the new products that are out there that you may (or may not) need.

Baconnaise
Apparently everything should taste like bacon, well at least according to the people behind Baconnaise, a new bacon flavoured sandwich spread. This twist on mayonnaise clearly won't appeal to everyone, but it should find a home with those to whom bacon comes close to religion.

Cyber clean
This may look like a kid's toy but it's actually a very handy (and fun) piece of office kit. A high-tech cleaning compound, this fluro-yellow goo gets into places that other cleaners can't and picks up all of those little nasties that lurk beneath the surface, leaving your computer keyboard, phone or speaker clean, sanitary and lemon-scented.

Fish training kit
Ever wished your goldfish could do more than just swim around in circles? Well here is your answer, the R2 Fish Training School Kit. Apparently it's easy to train your goldfish to play soccer or even do the limbo, the kit even comes with a DVD to show you how to do it.

Power Plant Herb Garden
We'd all love to go out into our garden and pick the ingredients for that night's meal. But for those of us who aren't lucky enough to have their own veggie patch here is the answer, the Power Plant Herb Garden, just plug it into the wall, drop in your seeds and watch it grow. You can even use it at work to add a spot of green to your desk.

Smuckers Goober Grape
The name doesn't sound that appealing but I couldn't help but be captivated by this interesting concoction when I got a jar of it from a sweet importer. Featuring alternating stripes of peanut butter and jam in the same jar it allows you to get a perfect PB&J sandwich everytime.

USB cup warmer
Tired of your tea, coffee or cocoa going cold while you read BH&G blogs? You need never resort to the microwave again, just pop one of these into your USB port, slap your cuppa onto the heated pad and Mmmmmmm, piping-hot beverage every time!
