A young woman has been set free from her illness, and now she wants her mother to find peace.

Seeking comfort

Our daughter Tonia passed away some years ago and I would love to hear from her through you. I really need to know that she's doing good things on the other side and is happy and well. Communication from her would mean a lot to me - it seems like only yesterday that she passed.

Kelvin's reading

I'm hearing the ABBA song 'Thank You for the Music' and as soon as I touch the envelope, I want to cry. When I opened and felt the photo, I felt overwhelmed with love. I feel sad for this beautiful girl, not because she's in spirit, but because she's a truly beautiful soul with much love to give.

She cries for her mother every day and I'm sure Mum cries for her too. I understand why. However, it's time to accept it and learn to trust and find your faith again.

She says, ‘I am absolutely fine. Mum and Dad have to stop worrying. I have so many friends here and I'm being looked after. I was afraid, but now I've accepted my path and I feel great. I'm free of pain, free of the struggle and in harmony with the oneness of all that is.

‘It's a beautiful feeling to be truly at peace. Life for me was full of unconditional love. I miss my family so much that I can't find the words to express the things we did, the laughs we had, the silly little jokes, the tears from hard times and when my Mum held my hand as I passed away. I want to let my dad know that I'll always be his little girl. I love you so much. Thank you for teaching me to love.'

She's showing me nice, neat writing and tells me she loved to read and liked going to school. She laughs and says she enjoyed the things in life that most people would find boring. She was always happy in life.

She mentions a birthday or celebration of some kind in May - maybe it's her birthday or that of someone close to her. She's indicating that there are three left from a family of four, so from that I'm guessing she had one sibling. A ‘D' name that sounds like David is coming through and also a ‘K' name like Karen with a big star next to it, so they must have passed.

She tells me she loved 'The Muppets.' This girl is such a bundle of joy and a pleasure to communicate with. She's honest, loyal and happy because she's safe.

Now she talks about a ‘J' name like Jack that's significant to her. She also shows me pharmacists working in a chemist shop, then tells me that her dad worked hard.

I'm seeing an angel now. She signs off by saying, ‘I will never fade away - always in heart, mind and soul. I love the angel statue Mum, it means a lot.'

Cindy's response

It was a wonderful surprise to receive Kelvin's very accurate and heartfelt messages from our daughter Tonia. His description of a beautiful soul with so much love to give brings tears to my eyes. She really is such a bundle of joy. It's good for us here to understand you can be afraid at first, but will eventually accept your path and be in harmony with everything.

Tonia had a shortened time here, and because of melanoma she returned to spirit. But she's always in our thoughts and hearts. To learn that she's free of pain, at peace, and has lots of friends is wonderful. We miss her so much and certainly remember the laughs and silly jokes she played on us, and the ones we played on her.

Her dad loved the message that she will ‘always be his little girl'. Tonia loved reading and school, and some people might think that's boring. I will never forget her tears when I was holding her hand as she passed over. The emotion is hard to describe.

The celebration in May is her birthday - May 9. The mention of three left of four is our family, which is now just the three of us since she passed.

I can think of one David who's in spirit, but I can't place the name Karen at the moment. She did love 'The Muppets.'

The chemist would be the one she visited so much for medication and the cures she hoped for. Her dad does work hard. I'm not too sure about the statue of an angel, though.

To hear from her that she will never fade away means so much. Thank you for your reading Kelvin, it means more than I can say. It's so nice to have love coming from Tonia, which is exactly what we have for her. Thank you for telling us she's safe and happy.
