Top 10 Anti-ageing Tips

1. Make everyday sunscreen day

Photo-ageing caused by UVA rays from the sun has been found to be the cause of approximately 80 per cent of wrinkles.

2. Drink plenty of water

Our bodies are made up of more than 70 per cent water, so keep it that way! If you're dehydrated, your skin will show it.

3. Beauty sleep is no misnomer

Sleep is when your skin regenerates and repairs. Get at least eight hours a night.

4. Don't smoke

You've heard it before, but smoking definitely depletes the skin of healthy Vitamin C and starves the cells of oxygen.

5. Leave out lipliner

Go for a softer gloss look. Harsh lines do no-one any favours regardless of whether you're 20 or 60.

6. Go easy on alcohol

A glass of red wine contains antioxidants to fight ageing free radicals. But drinking too much will leave you dehydrated.

7. Get your teeth whitened

Discoloured teeth can put years on your appearance, and they yellow with age regardless of lifestyle. Talk to your dentist.

8. Lighter is brighter, less is more

Steer clear of heavy foundation, powder, dark lipstick and nail colour.

9. Up the antioxidants

Load up on fruit and vegetables for youthful energy and glowing skin.

10. Preserve the shine

Because skin tone changes over time your hair usually looks better when
it's a couple of shades lighter than it was. Keep it light, shiny and lustrous.

Here we go again. There are just so many half baked commentators out there all having a different say on this. Nothing, and I mean nothing, other than a healthy diet, regular exercise, and mother nature taking its course, does it.

why all the fuss about looking young, is age a disgrace, everyone gets older, why make older folk feel bad by only admiring youth. Age is knowledge and wisdom, look good, feel good, be healthy, but age should be admired too.

Hey agree with ngatiwarrior but hey if I paid to have my teeth whitened then the price would certainly bloody age me! Hey and I prefer to have a few beers and live a bit.

Hey ngati warrior & earthlybodies, I presume you actually walk the walk and look fabulous, our maybe a warrior looks ferociously fabulous. Mind you I wouldn't have put sunscreen as No 1. It's overrated, we need vit D.Many cancers are majorly influenced by vit D deficiency. Also, exercise and stretch
