I was getting ready for work today and it occurred to me that I have really bad hair! Now I have known this for many years, but for some reason today I really felt the pang of disappointment. It's curly (ok, let's face it - frizzy), limp and never really does what it's told.
I quickly called my hairdresser, Brad Ngata, and made an emergency appointment, hoping that a little reshaping from the guru himself would make a big difference - but I have to wait til tomorrow to find out.
So, I set about embarking on the 5-minute hair challenge myself. In my opinion, you're either a hair person, or you aren't. You either spend hours slaving over your mane, or you don't, and I definitely fall in the latter. So, instead of pushing my limp locks back into the 'trendy' birds nest of a chignon that I try on a regular basis, I whipped out my ghd iron and got straightening.
It literally took less than 5 minutes to tame my mane and the difference was amazing. Seriously, we all have bad hair days (remember Cameron Diaz in Being John Malkovich or Charlize in Monster - um ewwww!!) but I think that by spending literally 5 extra minutes in the morning your look is instantly updated. There will be days when you just can't be bothered and that's totally acceptable, but if you're feeling a little frumpy, or not having the best morning, a cool 'do is guaranteed to make a difference.
Good luck styling ladies.
Lots of love and lip glosses,
