Diet Diva Celeb Slimming Secrets

Want to know how your fave celebrities get their bodies ready for the red carpet?
Find out with these celeb slimming secrets!

Who: Halle Berry

Star Slimming Secret: To avoid the temptations of finger foods and too much alcohol served at restaurants and parties, Halle fills up on healthy food at home before she heads out.

Take home tip: Before going to that summer BBQ, have a yoghurt or handful of unsalted nuts and a piece of fruit at home to bide you over until dinner is served. This will help you resist the high fat cheese, dips and chips that are making the rounds.

Who: Liz Hurley

Star Slimming Secret: Liz Hurley swears by 'small portions' as the secret for keeping her body trim and terrific. Liz says a typical meal for her consists of "Some grilled fish, a small amount of wild rice and some vegetables."

Take home tip: Try cutting your serving size down by one-third and use a smaller plate, like a salad plate, so your portions still look generous!

Who: Catherine Zeta-Jones

Star Slimming Secret: The Welsh beauty used WeightWatchers to help her loose her baby pudge. By going to meetings, dieters learn about changing their behaviour with group support and pick up tips on what to eat and what to avoid.

Take home tip: If you're in need of extra encouragement to drop that added weight, check out http://www.weightwatchers.com.au/ for more info.

Who: Emma Bunton

Star Slimming Secret: The once famously chubby Spice Girl thanks body brushing for helping her achieve her goal weight. Brushing your body with a loffah kick starts circulation and breaks up fatty tissue, while removing dead skin cells.

Take home tip: Start with a dry brush at your feet and work upwards in circular motions towards your heart. Regular exfoliation followed by a light tanning moisturiser will transform your legs in minutes.

Who: Sarah Michelle Gellar

Star Slimming Secret: The Scooby Doo leading lady incorporates soup into her diet, to help her body detox. Sarah also stays away from sugar, dairy products and fried foods, "practically living on soup and vitamins."

Take home tip: Cook a large pot of vege soup and freeze in containers for an easy and nutritious 'on the run' lunch or dinner.

Who: Linda Evangelista

Star Slimming Secret: The former Supermodel bolsters her diet with 'superfoods' to stay slim and healthy. Superfoods contain vitamins, nutrients and minerals that are believed to have special properties for health, disease prevention and longevity.

Take home tip: They sound expensive and obscure, but you probably already have some superfoods in your fridge! Carrots, broccoli, chilli, strawberries, bananas, green tea, tofu and oats are all on the list.

Who: Britney Spears

Star Slimming Secret: New second-time mum Britney Spears has managed to return to her pre-babies pop star shape by snacking on fruit, nuts and low-fat yoghurt and eating six small meals a day. But her real secret? Breastfeeding.

Take home tip: New mums can burn an additional 500 calories a day just by breastfeeding their bubs.

Who: Jessica Simpson

Star Slimming Secret: For her film debut in Dukes of Hazzard, Jessica's trainer created the 'Don't Eat Crap Diet', to squeeze the starlet into Daisy Duke's shorts. Comprised mostly of grilled fish, chicken and vegetables, if Jess slipped one day, she would put in extra workout time the next.

Take home tip: To loose weight, you need to use up more energy then you consume, so you can still spoil yourself with the occasional treat by adding extra time to your exercise program.

Thanks for the diet tips, they all make sense. But most important, you need the mind and incentive to keep up with it.

its the same old story you need to work hard to keep the weight of. the stars have it made with their chefs and personal trainers, my tip is go to the supermarket and look at the price of chocolate say $1.50 for 50gram bar that makes chocolate EXPENSIVE thats over $30 a kilo, you WOULD not pay $30 a kilo for fruit and vegies just eat good healthy fruit and veg and only have a treat once in a while. I have been struggling with my wieght for over a year now, I am always looking for new ways to hel

You know, the words 'lose' and 'loose' are not the same! You lose weight, you don't loose it. Although you might lose something if it is loose, that is, not tight. Or if you let it loose, that is, free it. Cheers.

Time to take responsibility people!!! I have lost 15kgs!! How??

Has nothing to do with the chefs or the trainers, it is about educating ourselves about our own bodies and what we feed ourselves. We make sure we give our cars the best fuel and mechanics, yet we can buy a new car when it fails and dies. Wouldn't it be good to give our bodies the same respect, after all we can't swap it or trade it in!! How many of us truly feed ourselves the best fuel?

Carol has a very valid point on paying

As I was saying...............Carol has a very valid point on paying $30kg for chocolate but not fruit n veg......... how about a balance?

My 15kg weightloss came from educating myself & exercise.

I recommend the GlycoLean Body System - Multi Vitamin & Minerals, Herbal Supplement for Metabolic Rate, Superfoods in a Fibre Mix (that actually tastes good - sort of a lime flavour), Chocolate & Vanilla Shake, educational tools on exercise and tracking your efforts!!

Some celebs do have healthy eating diets. But Liz Hurley's diet is crap she's admitted to starving herself and going on soup diets before major events and Britney Spears every time we see her she's consumed alcohol or eating junk food now how much kj's is that.
For those who want to lose the extra weight. It's no about starving yourselves or copying celebs or putting yourself down by thinking that the stars have all the money and they can afford to look like that. It's not about the money it's

"Stars" are hypocritical BSers. They get fat then head for the nearest LYPO clinic which they can all afford. Wake up & smell the BS. With the right motivation, you could all lose whatever weight you want, give up smoking & throw out those drugs/alcohol. My motivation is my children, my family & my self esteem. Find yours!!!
